The most common cause of gutters overflowing is loose roof moss being washed down into the gutters causing a blockage, either in the gutter itself, in the downpipe or even worse in the underground pipework which can cost a small fortune to solve. The solution is to have the roof moss removed and then a fungicidal spray treatment applied to the roof tiles to help slow down re-growth.

All roof moss is removed manually with a scraper/brush, unlike many of our competitors we do not take short cuts like using pressure washers on the roof which can strip the tiles of any colour and in extreme cases actually damage the roof tiles. Once the roof moss is removed we check the roof for chipped or damaged tiles and replace them - this is included in the original roof moss removal quotation we do not charge extra - we then clear out the gutters of roof moss and any other blockages.

To prevent help prevent early re-growth the roof is treated with a moss killer chemical that will kill off any moss spores and litchens ensuring the moss wont grow back easily. The moss treatment is not a permanant soloution to preventing re-growth but is practical and cost effective.
